Terms of use
Use the site, share your charts, enjoy it. What follows is the small print, kept as short as it can honestly be.
What this is for
Astrology is offered here for reflection, curiosity and entertainment. Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it should not be used to make decisions that need any of those. If you are struggling, please talk to a professional rather than a chart.
What we get right, and what we cannot
The astronomy is accurate: planetary positions agree with NASA’s published ephemeris to within about a third of an arcminute, and the house cusps agree with the reference implementation the astrological software industry uses.
Your birth time is the part nobody can guarantee. Historical daylight saving and local timekeeping are genuinely uncertain in places, and the rising sign moves roughly one degree every four minutes — so an hour of error changes it. We show you the timezone offset we used and let you correct it. If the offset is wrong, the chart will be wrong, and that is a limit of the historical record rather than of the calculation.
Fair use
Calculate as many charts as you like for yourself and for people you know. Please do not script the site for bulk extraction, resell its output as a data feed, or use it in a way that degrades it for everyone else. If you want programmatic access, ask.
Your chart is yours
The birth data you enter is yours, and so is the chart drawn from it — share it, print it, publish it as you please. The interpretation text, the chart drawing and the site itself remain ours.
Other people’s data
You may calculate a chart for someone else, but their birth details are personal data. Publishing another person’s chart without their agreement may breach their privacy rights, and that is your responsibility rather than ours.
Availability
The site is provided as it is, with no promise that it will be available or uninterrupted. It is free, and it may change or stop.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything it says. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Attribution
Place names and coordinates come from GeoNames, used under CC BY 4.0. Timezone history comes from the IANA time zone database.
